Editorial: The Evolution of Hip Hop

The Evolution of Hip-Hop has been something obvious severe! The picture up top is the exact transition to the industry we all love so much. Why has this happened? There is just so much that can be said, and I am going to say some of it.

What ever happened to the days where you could sit back listen to a good Hip Hop track and understand exactly what the artist is saying? It has been a long time. Hip Hop started long before we all know it and to see what has happened make wonder at days, is that what we have to look forward to? I mean this the route that our children's generation has decided to take an art that comes from battle raps to telling stories of what our neighborhoods were like. From Partying up in the club and enjoying ourselves to verbs being thrown in an unusual way. The way used to dress, some of do still dress as such, to the way we carry ourselves. There are so many thing that I cannot understand when it comes to the 2010's!

When I grew up, living in Mount Vernon, NY, my favorite track was B.D.P's South Bronx and Criminal Minded due to the fact it was my first true track. Then L.L. Cool J came about and made Queens be known in his own way (To tell the truth, I'm working on that body right now ;P No Homo). And good lord the D.J., the most underrated magician in Hip Hop. Why do I say magician? Well they are the ones that create the magic. Back the D.J.s were the ones that came up with the beats and then used 2 Turntables and a Mic to rock the party. A rapper was known as an M.C. (Master of Ceremony) who controlled the flow of the crowd. But it was the DJ that made it happen for the MC. Then of course who can forget the "WORLDS FAVORITE RAP GROUP"??? Who am I talking about? The Clan (Wu-Tang Clan). The way the approached us with stories of how it was in the hood and brought it to our front doors. C.N.N. (Capone-N-Norega) brought that straight street ghetto that made everyone feel that they could be a thug. Nas told his stories as well of Queensbridge and the projects. I will never touch the factors of Biggie and Pac due to the fact that they are historians in our game. They fall in with the likes of Sugarhill Gang, DJ Cool Herc (from Jamaica), and others within that time frame.

Then you have the Southern Movement... Master P, Hot Boyz, No Limit Soldiers, Trick Daddy and the Slip-N-Slide Family. These artist brought to us the world of booty shaking and the southern way of life. Where slinging drugs, committing murder, everyday street hustle, and fact that you have to enjoy the fruit that you grow with your everyday hustle. In the south, the love bass, they love big booty girls, and they enjoy that they know that tomorrow is promised to no one and to cease the day.

But 2010's Hip Hop does not really do it for me. I will admit I am a Drake fan to heart. Nothing will ever change that. I just about have every mixtape that he owns but at the same time I respect artists out there like J. Cole, Big Sean, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, T.I., Meek Mills, Wale, Rick Ross, Vado, and Fred the Godson to name a few. But the one artist I still never can understand until I listen to his track for about 10 times... YOUNG THUG!!! Why is it so hard to make yourself understood. Now, I understand that I come from a older generation when it comes to this Hip Hop shit but to that you must understand that I just want the best for you guys out there and for you to make it big the way previous artists have.

One of the biggest movements that I have seen in the 1990's was the Def Jam movement. This movement was so powerful because it gave artists the opportunity to create for themselves and have their own! What do I mean by their own... Roc-A-Fella, Murder Inc., Disturbing the Peace, DEF Squad, and Def Soul what do all of these have in common??? They are their own independent record labels. One of todays biggest artist has taken that into consideration and created Young Money through Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne has taken the art and moved like other have in the past. He has his own shoe (Supra), own clothing line (Truck Fit), and own label (Young Money). This is what I wish for our future Hip Hop Artists. To take what they have made and invest it into something that will come back at least 5 fold for yourself. Instead of living off of a Ferrari that you will only have for about 4 months because you missed the payment. Back to living with your mothers because you didn't pay the note on the house. These are things that I worry about with the Evolution of Hip-Hop.

I will have more to go on this....

What's on my Android! (Early 2015)

Wow, this guy has it down packed. I think that I am going to have to clean sweep my Note Edge. He has it nice, simple and ready to go. Whenever I have a question or need to find out what's new this is where I go. I am thinking hard about going to Hangout for my SMS but I have to check first to see if it works with my Samsung Gear. I won't let that stop me though. Just like new things with a clean look. There are two major things that I do in life is going to school and going to work (Loving the fact that I am not in charge of any soldiers). But if you ever have any questions, that's the guy!

PSA: What We Do As Men

Journal Writing

What we do as men. There are a lot of things our women do not want to see us do in life that still tends to rare it's ugly face. I know that for a while I was stuck in limbo because I had no clue what was going on. So what did I tend to do, write in a Journal. A lot of men do not know this, but if you sit down and write in a journal what is going on through out your day, you tend to lose the "bitch" in you as women would call us. Venting out our frustrations on paper or typing in a journal helps remove the stress that is on the brain and tends to keep the wife / girlfriend happy. No lie, I write in a journal about every other day. And on my really bad day, you can almost catch me writing once every 3 hours. Some of us do not like confrontation and want to keep a happy and healthy home. This is one way to do it. Now, if you are anything like me I tend to do my writing on my laptop. There are apps that are there to help you with this. I use OneNote from Microsoft. OneNote syncs with all of your handheld devices. I have a Note Edge so you will catch me typing away there and know that it syncs back to my laptop. I used to use EverNote but it just after a while didn't feel to warming. With OneNote I could add photo's and treat it as a personal blog to myself. Locked away on my phone. I also use OneNote as a quick note book as well. OneNote has been very helpful to me as a way to remove some of the stressors in life. So What we do as men??? Write it down and keep it out of our minds until it really become relevant. Till next time!

Sex Positions

Yes like I said, I hold back none. There are somethings that shouldn't be hidden and I think this is one of them or should I say three of them. Sit back and enjoy the quick video!

The Danalock Smart Lock

Okay gentlemen (and ladies of course) here is something new to the game, and I must say that this will be something that I am looking forward to purchasing in the near future. I am creating a Man Cave to where I will only have the simplest of things. A mans TV of course, XBOX One, PS4, an Apple Computer that connects to the TV and a little bit of a sound system. Now with the wife talking about building a door way from the kitchen to my Man Cave as well as placing a door in the garage to where the man cave is going to be located I think that I will need

VS

Yes, I went there! This weeks challenge is A Tribe Called Quest vs De La Soul. Crazy that I went there seeing that these gentiles are all part of a movement which included Monie Love and Queen Lateefah. These two groups were part of the Happy Rap movement as well ( that's what Bernie Mac called it). But I really wants to know what exactly what it is that you may have on your mind with this battle.

Make Lil Wayne Happy: The Beef between Wayne and CMB!

Seriously I strongly believe that Cash Money should do what's right by Lil Wayne and release the album. That is just about all he is asking. When you read all the hype that has started this I would have said the same thing that others may have thought, his account was once again hacked. But that hasn't even come to light which makes Wayne's rants even more solidified!

“I hope they do the right thing and make Wayne happy. If that’s true I think they should do the right thing because Wayne kept that label going. 400 Degreez took him to another universe. When Juvenile dropped that they went to a whole ‘nother planet. When everything start falling out with the—We all know the story. And B.G. is one of my favorite artists from the South. But when everything start falling apart, Wayne stepped up. And Wayne, he took that label to a whole ‘nother dimension. With great music. So, I just think—I’m a loyalty guy. Loyalty is royalty to me. You talking to a guy who’s very loyal about everything that I do and the people that I love and I deal with and I do business with…Whatever’s gonna make Wayne happy, they should do.” - KXNG Crooked

Just as stated above... Give that man what's due to him. He saved your label, release the album. Then there was more garbage going around in regards to the fact that Weezy was having beef with Young Thug to which was another spark to why "Tha Carter 5" was not being released. Below is an interview with Rich Homie Quan and Karen Civil in regards to the beef from how he sees it.

This issue may be old, but it still burns me because these guys have what it takes. *Especially the route Hip Hop is going right now.

Bombfell Gear Review: Wool and Leather Varsity Jacket from Standard Issue

My Black on Black Leather and Wool Varsity Jacket from Standard Issue. This bad boy is nice and snug. I got it at the right size because you can only wear certain types of clothes bigger than usual. And I am currently on a grown man move to where all my clothes are going to be of size. I love it because it is day to day wear and it's not to out there. It's an urban look and I love it! If you are interested in just going out to get this jacket the cost is $187. I hope you like it!

One of my many reviews that I will be doing on Bombfell Boxes. Gentiles, don't sleep on these people they do put together a mean box once a month on request.

Gear Review: Bombfell

Bombfell... what can I say about this company. This is a company that is ran by a 27 year-old gentleman who sees that at times it is hard for us to go out a shop for something that we may be looking for. I have tried this company for the last 2 months and I will say that I am very comfortable with the service that they provide. I will be going further into doing reviews on the selections that this company come up with when every I put in a request for a box. Thank you Bombfell for all you help!

The Hot Seat

The Hot Seat

a.k.a. The Love Seat, The Man Chair

Benefits: Good G-spot stimulation.

Sit on the edge of the bed or on a chair with your feet on the floor. She turns away and backs up onto you, sitting between your legs. She can ride back and forth by pushing off the chair arms or pressing up with her feet. She can control the angle of entry by arching her back and pressing her buttocks into your groin. While doggy-style is about your dominance, The Hot Seat puts her in the driver's seat.

Now try this: She can reach under and stimulate the base of your penis, scrotum, and perineum. Meanwhile, you can reach around and stimulate her nipples.

Hot Tip — His
The best ways to help her get interested in sex when you can tell it's the farthest thing from her mind: Draw her a bubble bath, give her a massage, wrestle.

Throw Back Thursday

Me and my baby girl, Amya, at 6 Flags over Texas. She was only 3 at the time and knew what she wanted then as she does now. I have no problems showing you how I live people! Remember this!!

Technical Throw Back Thursday: Motorola StarTac 70

Technical Plate's Throw Back Thursday: Motorola StarTac 75

Who remembers this dinobot? Man I remember when this phone first hit the streets. It was a complete must have for all hip hop heads and business men. The Motorola StarTac 75 was the beast of the Cellular world, like the Samsung Note Edge is today. The only thing is this phone didn't have a camera nor did as much as Smart Phones do today. I remember when I had my StarTac, I had just came back for Korea on a 1 year tour of duty and that was the first thing that came to me, after the phone being out for 2 to 3 years. Check the specs on this Dino-bot and tell me that back then you would not have been let down.

Kick Review: Nike's self-lacing Back to the Future sneakers are still coming this year

Last year Nike designer Tinker Hatfield revealed that the iconic sneakers from Back to the Future Part II — you know, the ones that lace themselves — would eventually be a product you could actually buy. While we haven't heard much about the shoes since then, Hatfield took the stage at the Agenda Trade Show in Long Beach to confirm that the 2015 edition of the Nike MAGs are still in the works, reports Nice Kicks. While the designer didn't reveal an exact date for the shoes, he did say that the team is working hard to get them out this year, noting that there still are "11 and two-thirds months left in 2015." (This year also happens to be the year in which the second film was set.) In 2011, Nike auctioned off 1,500 pairs of the shoes raising more than $4.7 million, though that version (pictured above) didn't include the futuristic self-lacing technology.
